But unlike the constant funerals we seem to be having for all other aspects of our industry, there is a clear and immediate successor we can all agree on – 2025!
It’s a new year and with the first 2 weeks of post-holiday catchup under our belts, I wanted to give any RevOps pros out there my 3 Rs for all the things that we classified as “that’s next year’s problem” in December.
So this January don’t forget to:
✅ 𝗥econnect – with teams to ensure that you are 100% aligned with the first month/quarter goals, that holiday fatigue wasn’t influencing any conversations, and that you are still on top of what needs to be accomplished.
✅ 𝗥eview – any platforms that use custom date fields to make sure you’re still capturing the right timeframe, any spreadsheets that may need manual updating (hopefully not 😬), dashboards, hire plans, platform purchases etc. Time to stay agile and help your org reach their goals even if they’ve already been adjusted since last year’s planning.
✅ 𝗥echarge – If you feel frustrated, know that you’re not alone! Lack of budget, resources and internal understanding of the RevOps work leads to teams of 1 or 2 trying to take on the tasks of 5-10.
So more than anything, start the year rejuvenating, relaxing, and re-aaally trying hard to maintain your sense of purpose and calm.
